Consolata to Excenex

The walk

6.9 km out-and-back walk near Comune di Aosta, up to Excenex: about 2 h of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail, between 673 and 2563 m above sea level. Along the way: Villa romana della Consolata, Parco Saumont and Anfiteatro romano di Aosta. After the walk: wine tasting at OTTIN ELIO SOCIETà SEMPLICE AGRICOLA (0.9 km) and lunch at La Brasserie du Bon Bec in Cogne (15.3 km).

Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.
