The walk
4.3 km out-and-back walk between Val della Torre and Viù, up to Bivio 002A-011-570D, Monte Arpone, 300 m of total ascent: about 1 h 45 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 1307 and 1584 m above sea level. Along the way: Monte Arpone, Rifugio Portia and Parco naturale del Colle del Lys.
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

From Turin: about 40 min (26 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
