The walk
5.9 km out-and-back walk near Capannori, up to Lago della Gherardesca, 240 m of total ascent: about 2 h of walking. Easy paths and dirt roads. After the walk: wine tasting at Tenute di Badia (6.3 km) and lunch at Locanda Agricola Posapiano in Montecarlo (9.3 km).
Easy path (grade T): wide tracks and short climbs, trainers are fine in dry weather.
