The walk
4.5 km out-and-back walk , up to Chiomonte, Case Comba, 459 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail, between 872 and 1311 m above sea level. Along the way: Caserma difensiva del Frejus. After the walk: wine tasting at la Chimera Viticoltura Eroica (0.4 km). Reachable by train: Chiomonte station, 287 m from the trail.
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

By car
From Turin: about 1 h 20 min (55 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
