The walk
4.4 km out-and-back walk , up to Chaussettaz, 485 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail, between 1692 and 2190 m above sea level. After the walk: lunch at La Brasserie du Bon Bec in Cogne (16.9 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

From Aosta: about 35 min (23 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
