The walk
6.4 km out-and-back walk between Laveno-Mombello and Cittiglio, up to P.so Cuvignone, 408 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail, between 750 and 1087 m above sea level. Along the way: Casere and Passo del Cuvignone.
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

By car
From Stresa: about 15 min (10 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
