The walk
6.8 km out-and-back walk between Oggebbio and Aurano, up to Pian d'Arla bivio R10 (m 1037), 497 m of total ascent: about 3 h of walking. Waymarked CAI hiking trail, between 988 and 1286 m above sea level.
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

From Stresa: about 25 min (16 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
