The walk
4.4 km out-and-back walk near Erba, up to Buco del Piombo, 271 m of total ascent: about 1 h 45 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail, between 481 and 726 m above sea level. Along the way: Buco del piombo and Riserva naturale Valle Bova. After the walk: lunch at Sali e Tabacchi in Mandello del Lario (14.3 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

By car
From Como: about 15 min (10 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
