The walk
8.0 km out-and-back walk between Castino and Borgomale, up to Castino, frazione Pavaglione, bivio CNC103, CNC104, CNC204, 223 m of total ascent: about 2 h 30 min of walking. Easy paths and dirt roads, between 590 and 696 m above sea level. After the walk: wine tasting at Cascina Elena (3.0 km) and lunch at Osteria dell’Unione in Treiso (5.6 km).
Easy path (grade T): wide tracks and short climbs, trainers are fine in dry weather.

From Alba: about 15 min (10 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
