The walk
5.0 km out-and-back walk between Crodo and Baceno, up to Pian di Rio Secco, 323 m of total ascent: about 2 h of walking. Easy paths and dirt roads, between 1375 and 1500 m above sea level.
Easy path (grade T): wide tracks and short climbs, trainers are fine in dry weather.

By car
From Domodossola: about 30 min (19 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
