Trails come from the Club Alpino Italiano’s osm2cai database, built on OpenStreetMap. © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Track files offered for download keep the same licence.

Map tiles © OpenTopoMap (CC BY-SA), based on OpenStreetMap data and SRTM elevation data.

Elevation profiles

Terrain profiles are derived from Mapzen Terrain Tiles, including EU-DEM/Copernicus, USGS and NOAA data. They are estimates of the available track segments, not field measurements. Source attribution appears with each profile.

Photos

Photos come from Wikimedia Commons under free licences (CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA). Author and licence are shown next to each photo, with a link to the original file.

Food and wine

Wineries come from the public member list of FIVI (Federazione Italiana Vignaioli Indipendenti). Osterie are Hike & Fork’s own selection, informed by Italian food guides. No text or reviews are copied from those guides. Always check opening days and book ahead.

Safety

Walking times, distances and difficulty are estimates. Conditions change with weather and season: check the trail and the forecast before you set off, and walk at your own risk.
